Before becoming a graduate of the Los Angeles College of Music where he received his drum performance degree under the tutelage of Professor Ralph Humprey, Tony Inzalaco, Joe Porcaro,Ian Froman, Matt Starr, Gary Ferguson, and Jerry Watt. Po Chan (Po) had started playing the drum since the age of 10 and had had the opportunities to be nurtured by some of the top notched drummers in Hong Kong and China, such as Simon Chiu, Man Ho Lam, Song Liang and Zhaonian.

Furthermore, in the year 2009, Po attended a certificate programe in modern music drum techniques at the Beijing Institute for Modern Music.

Po shares his time equally as a performing musician as well as a music educator. He is the drummer of a newly established rock band named "New Way Out" in the Greater Bay Area. On top of it, Po also played in the Jazz Band - Fair Oaks Group in Japan. You will easily find Po's footstep in Hong Kong, Macau and China.

As a drum/music educator, Po has more than 10 years of teaching experiences. Po joined the faculty of Pure Orchestral Centre in 2015 and since than has been appointed as an instructor-in-residence at Nord Anglia International School, Shrewsbury International School of Hong Kong, St Louis School , among others.
