Snare Drum

The snare drum is a versatile percussion instrument with a distinct, crisp sound. It features a thin drumhead on top and a set of metal wires, called snares, on the bottom head. When struck with drumsticks, the snares vibrate against the bottom head, creating the characteristic "snare" sound. Snare drums are a crucial component in many musical ensembles, including orchestras, concert bands, marching bands, and drumlines. They can produce a wide range of tones and
textures depending on the playing technique, such as using brushes or rutes instead of traditional sticks. The snare drum's sharp, rhythmic sound makes it an indispensable part of modern music.
