Saxophone
The saxophone is a type of musical instruments in the woodwind family which uses a single-reed to make sound. The sound of the saxophone is usually described as mellow yet powerful, round yet complex. It is a versatile across many musical genres, from classical, jazz, pop to rocks. The saxophone family consists of the soprano, alto, tenor and bass saxophones. All students begin with the alto saxophone, which is pitched in Eb and gradually move to playing other saxophones at a later stage of their playing. The alto saxophone is quite huge in size, and carries some weight. A good age to begin with the saxophone is Y4.
