IT IS DONE!!
The first ever music video by the A Capella Flutes of the Hong Kong Flute Centre is out!
My initial idea of the video was simple - to have FUN and popularize flute ensemble playing in Hong Kong. But the question came down to what we should play - a repertoire for flute ensemble? An existing arrangement of a classical piece? A pop song? Or an original?
Finally, we decided on a combination of the above - a new arrangement of a Hong Kong owned canto pop song for the standard flute ensemble: four flutes, an alto, a bass and a contra bass flute.
I’d like to thank everyone for bringing my initial idea to life - players, recording technicians, arrangers, advisers, students and parents. This final video reflects the effort and hard work you all put in!
So, I present to you Lowell Lo’s “Walk With You”, a canto pop that is unique to Hong Kong culture, and a song that I believe would resonate with many of you. Lo is a renowned Hong Kong pop singer active since the 80’s, and is still very much active nowadays. He expresses the beauty of a life-long loving relationship between couples.

終於完成了香港長笛中心無伴奏長笛樂人 首個格仔模式音樂video！ 過程步驟相對想像中複雜， 但踏出的每一步均是團隊堅持用心努力的成果。
當初想及這錄音錄影計劃，純粹是個人玩意，在抗疫期間留家執拾多年來的黑膠及雷射唱片。看到很多陪伴成長之本地流行金曲， 想想把喜愛的重新編排給長笛樂團， 供學生老師一起玩玩過癮。 只此而以。
非常興幸獲眾多現任及昔日學生及家長， 長笛中心及海外長笛導師朋輩的支持（其實支援才對), 在很多極度技術層面上給予協助及行動上的支持。過程中學習到非常多及意料不到的問題及解決方案。乃始料不及. 亦因如此, 籌備及製作所付出的時間亦失了預算， 前後用了兩個多三個月才能完成是次成果。 感恩！
雖未完美，但相信下回會更好， 而且會越做越好！
希望大家喜歡這利用長笛家族中由高至低不同種類長笛所表現出的音樂特色。 並祝願大家能跟至愛永遠「陪著你走一生到白頭」
