Clarinet
Quite similar to the saxophone, the clarinet is also a single-reed instrument, it is smaller and less bulky than the saxophone and is one of the four standard orchestral woodwind instruments. (The three others are the flute, oboe and bassoon). The clarinet is pitched in Bb and carries the largest pitch range among all other woodwind instruments which spend more than three octaves. The clarinet is also a popular jazz instrument as represented by Benny Goodman. Clarinet and saxophone players will be very happy with the fact that both instruments are interchangeable in terms of playing skills and sound production.
